Crediton is a town in Mid Devon which lies between Tiverton and Exeter. It is divided into two parts with the old town area to the north and the newer buildings in the south. It dates back to the 7th century and in the early 1900’s shoe-making, agricultural trade, tin-plating and cider took over the former woollen and serge industry.
The town has two industrial parks, a factory, a dairy and is the centre of shopping and business for the local area. There are numerous public houses, schools and a variety of new build and older period properties in the area. There are some lovely buildings in Crediton including the Anglican Parish Church which has a central tower and a large country house built in 1692, where the lord of the manor Sir Redvers Buller resided.
